Cylinder
Section of long bone. The medullary cavity has been removed, enlarged and smoothed by turning to form a perfectly shaped cylinder with an internal screw thread at one end and external protruding screw thread at the other. A flat disc with screw thread around the circumference and incised circumferential grooves for decoration fits into one end and lies flush with the end of the cylinder. Although the edges of the cap are damaged, the disc will not lock into place, and may fit onto another piece, now missing. The two pieces are extremely well made with a high polish.
