Piercer
Bone piercer, longitudinal slice through a horse or bovine metapodial, proximal end and shaft.The shaft, exposing part of the cancellous structure of the bone at the prioximal end, tapering to a rounded point towards the distal end. The bone has been filed, shaved and polished to a smooth surface, there is an irregular hole through the shaft at the proximal end.
