Tin-glazed earthenware drug jar of albarello form, decorated with bands and chevrons in blue and orange. Apothecaries' vessels accounted for much of the Low Countries' output of tin-glazed pottery. Made in a huge range of sizes, the jars were sealed with a pig's bladder or a piece of parchment fastened with string. Thousands have been found in London.
