An Aeronautical View of London
Havell's view shows London from a point 402 feet above th eThames, mid-way between Bermondsey on th eleft and St Katherine's Dock on the right. Windsor Castle can be spotted on the horizon. Rennie's New London Bridge due to be opened on 1 August 1831 is shown.
Robert Havell junior ( 1793-1878) published several panoramas of towns and is related to the four watercolour drawings of the Rhinebeck Panorama. The Museum's aquatint is an enlarged version of the original published in 1831.
