Trafalgar Square from Spring Gardens
This panoramic view of Trafalgar Square shows, from left to right, part of the Union Club, the National Gallery, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Morley's Hotel and the corner of Spring Gardens. In the foreground is a carriage, a phaeton, cavalrymen and a number of well-dressed onlookers. Some pedestrians are shown crossing the street while others occupy horse-drawn carriages.
Thomas Water 1814-99 also painted several works of Wales which are in collections in Cardiff.
