St. James's Park from the Terrace of No. 10 Downing Street
The garden of No. 10 Downing Street is shown in the foreground surrounded by a high brick wall. Two gardeners are at work: one rolls a gravel path while the other tidies the edge of the grass with a pair of shears. On the terrace are two figures: on the left is either Sir Robert Walpole or Lord Wilmington, and on the right is George Pitt. Beyond the garden wall is a view of St. James' Park showing the path leading to the East end of the Mall. A small group is relaxing beneath the trees at the edge of the lake.
