Bristol and Nottingham against London: or the Funeral of City Faction . . .
A funeral procession for the opponents of Robert Walpole, seen laughing at the bottom left), while the satyr burns the City Instructions - i.e., the instructions to London MPs to refuse supply pending an investigation of Walpole's conduct. Many provincial cities by contrast backed Walpole and won. The print originally included two columns of text, now missing. See BM Satire catalogue no. 2570.
