Reimagining care with Carers’ Common Room
Join Carers’ Common Room for a drop-in conversation and workshop to rethink how we organise care and imagine better futures – for carers, those receiving care and their families.
Many people passing through the hospital doors, especially those living with long-term health conditions, rely daily on the social care sector.
With many social care workers facing low pay and job insecurity, we’ll explore how we might create more sustainable, supportive conditions for all involved in care.
Carers’ Common Room began as a grassroots initiative by domiciliary care workers in Lambeth, creating a communal "staff room" space to rest, connect and build solidarity across the borough.
In this session, we’ll reflect on what we learned from running that space, share our zine and DIY guide to creating collective care spaces, and invite your stories and ideas.
