During this half term event designed with additional needs in mind, explore our free galleries with muted or low-level sound and designated breakout spaces. Explore on your own or join one of our Thames-themed sensory craft and performance activities.

Visit our sensory area and learn about the history of the Docklands at your own pace, in an afternoon that's inclusive and suitable for the whole family.

The museum is open every day 10am – 5pm.

Our building is accessible and we have lifts on every floor. If you need any help, please ask our friendly Hosts at the Information Desk when you arrive.

Our family-friendly cafe is the perfect place to sit down and relax for a bite or tea break. We have lunch boxes for kids, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.

You’ll also find our shop with a curated range of gifts and souvenirs, including posters, prints, toys, books and jewellery.

Prams and buggies are welcome in the museum. However, due to our Secrets of the Thames exhibition, buggy parking is limited on the Ground Floor.
