Celebrate the dark side of the moon with an evening of mystery and multi-media creative arts.

For mudlarks, the moon’s magnetic pull dictates the tides and the opportunities to search the foreshore for fragments of forgotten stories.

For others, the magic and mystery of both this celestial body and London’s ancient river inspire folklore, ritual, traditions and artistic expression.

Immerse yourself in these stories and artistry at our late-night event, and enjoy a magical evening in our Secrets of the Thames exhibition and at the museum after dark.

Be entranced by stories of moon and river folklore through expert storytelling and film and hear about special objects from the exhibition related to witchcraft, medicine and magic.

Feel creativity spark from your fingertips with sensory craft activities, meet artists inspired by mudlarking and groove to your own tune in our silent disco by the moon.

On the night of the new moon, when this orb is hidden from the human eye, discover lunar power from a different point of view at London Museum Docklands.

Our cafe will also be open for drinks, snacks and relaxing chat.
