Meet a conservator day
Take a peek into the working life of a conservator and get top tips on how to care for your treasured objects.
Join our expert conservator, Luisa Duarte ARC, to hear a series of talks outlining Luisa's work conserving items for London Museum's collection and for the Secrets of the Thames exhibition.
Across the day, Luisa will explain her chief considerations when preserving waterlogged items of iron, leather, bone and ivory and give advice tailored to mudlarks' home collections.
Ticket holders will have the opportunity to ask Luisa questions, examine types of storage materials and to exclusively view examples of conserved items from the museum's collection.
In affiliation with ICON Archaeology Group (Institute of Conservation) and CIFA Finds Group (Chartered Institute of Conservation).
