Need to know

These sessions are very busy. The queue will open 15 minutes before each performance. For everyone's safety, we will close the queue if we reach capacity.

Drop-in sessions will be first come, first served. At busy times, we may need to direct visitors to quieter activities on our programme of events.

Photography helps families understand what to expect at our events and shows funders the great work we do. As such, a museum photographer may be present to take pictures. No need to preen or pose, just play!

The museum is open every day 10am – 5pm.

If you have time, why not also visit our If you have time, why not also visit our free galleries and get more in-depth with Docklands history? And don't forget that under-12s get free entry to our Secrets of the Thames exhibition with fascinating finds from our city's foreshore.

Prams and buggies are welcome in the museum. However, due to our Secrets of the Thames exhibition, buggy parking is limited on the Ground Floor.
