Come and explore the brand-new London Museum before it opens to the public. We’re inviting our Friends and Supporters for an exclusive preview, and we’d love for you to join us.
Be among the first to wander around the spectacular Victorian General Market building after its decade-long transformation. You’ll have access to our new galleries and displays bringing the people and stories of London to life.
Get up close to iconic objects and never-before-seen items, discover favourites old and new, and see where your interests take you.
We’ll be open from midday until 8pm, so there’ll be plenty of time for you to come in, check out the new spaces and explore London’s history. Whether you pop in over lunch, stay for the afternoon or drop by after work, we can’t wait to welcome you inside.

Find us at London Museum, General Market, West Smithfield, London, EC1A 9AG. We’ll welcome you at the West Poultry Avenue entrance.
The closest stations are Farringdon (Elizabeth line, Thameslink, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan), Barbican (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan) and St Paul's (Central).
Lots of bus routes also stop within a short walk of the museum, including 4, 8, 25, 46, 56, 63, 100, 172, 242, 521.
Our new museum has been designed with access in mind. We have step-free entrances and spacious lifts so you can move easily around the museum.
There are gender-neutral toilets, accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities on each floor of the museum and a Changing Places toilet on the Ground Floor. More comprehensive information and sensory maps will be available on our website before your visit.
There are areas of the museum where sound is played. For the opening events there will be speeches and, in some cases, musical performances. It's also likely that the museum will be busy and noisier during our opening events.
We'll have a selection of sensory equipment available to borrow, but you're welcome to bring and use your own sensory equipment in the museum.
Speeches and talks at this event will have BSL interpretation.
