Curiously Becoming – private view
Join us at London Museum Studios for the private view of Curiously Becoming, the first solo display by illustrator Eleni Tucker.
The display brings together sketchbooks, illustrations and new works to form an intimate, room‑scale portrait of the artist’s world.
Through observational drawing and bold use of colour, Eleni captures personal moments and everyday scenes from life in London, offering a poetic and deeply human perspective on the city.

Eleni Tucker – known to most as Len or Leni – is an illustrator from south London, currently in their final year at Kingston School of Art.
At the heart of their practice is a love of reportage drawing. Capturing daily moments in their sketchbooks, from the mundane to the absurd, is their way of staying curious and observant.
Colour is central to how Eleni works and is used to capture a feeling, a time, or a story, and to find joy in everyday things. Curiously Becoming reflects this: the work on show is like a room-sized diary entry with a glimpse into their life and the things, people and moments they're drawn to.
As a queer, working-class immigrant, much of their work navigates London through that lens. Through their practice, Eleni wants to help others feel seen and heard – filling gaps in representation and creating spaces where people can connect and build community.
