A talk hosted by Kwamena Beecham on identity, place and representation – part of the London Festival of Architecture.

This event brings together voices from across architecture, design and community practice to explore how belonging is shaped – and challenged – in one of the world’s most complex and diverse cities.

The evening begins with a keynote from Kwamena Beecham, Founder of +TwoThreeThree, who will explore belonging through a West African lens. Drawing on themes of heritage, identity, community and shared experience, Kwamena will reflect on how these factors shape the ways we connect to both people and place.

The conversation will then open out to a group of invited speakers, each offering their own perspective on belonging: what informs it, what disrupts it and what needs to change for more people to feel represented, included and connected.

Together, this event invites architects, designers, artists, students, community organisers, built environment professionals and anyone interested in identity, culture and place, to take part in a broader reflection on belonging in London today.
