Printed Ephemera — 1903-1910
Royal Holborn
Theatre programme for the Royal Holborn. The programme lists the variety performers appearing including the suffragette Kitty Marion.
Kitty Marion combined her career as a music hall artiste with her career as a suffragette militant. She was imprisoned 4 times between 1909 and the end of 1912 for window breaking, arson and other militant activity. During her imprisonments she regularly went on hunger strike and was consequently forcibly fed by the prison authorities, which, on one occasion at least, led to her early release.
