A Claim for the Enfranchisement of Women in the Cape Colony
Pamphlet titled 'A claim for the enfranchisement of women in Cape Colony', by Mary Brown, published by the Women's Enfranchisement League, Cape Colony, c.1908, pp11. The author advances three arguemnts for the extension of the franchise to women, firstly on the grounds of justice, secondly, patriotism and thirdly that representation should accompany taxation. Illegible name handwritten in ink in the top right corner of the front page.
