Map of London and the Votes for Women Processions, Sunday 21 June 1908
Map showing the route of the 7 suffragette processions that converged on Hyde Park for Women's Sunday on June 21, 1908.
The first 'set-piece' demonstration organised by the Women's Social and Political Union, Women's Sunday was announced in 'Votes for Women' as a 'monster meeting'. Special trains were chartered to bring in thousands of suffragettes from all over Britain and over 700 banners were carried in the 7 processions that finally assembled in Hyde Park for a rally at which there were over 80 speakers.
