Women Writers' Suffrage League
Pro-female suffrage propaganda postcard issued by the Women Writers' Suffrage League. The colour postcard is printed with an image of the banner designed for the WWSL by W.H.Margetson. Here a male figure representing 'Prejudice' is attempting to drag away a woman as she clings to a blindfolded female figure of Justice. The artist W.H. Margetson was the brother-in-law of Bessie Hatton a founder of the Women Writer's Suffrage League. The banner was carried in the Coronation procession of June 1911.
