Printed Ephemera — 1907-1914
Polling Booth, Companions In Disgrace
'Polling Booth, Companions In Disgrace', produced by the Artist's Suffrage League as propaganda for the pro-women's suffrage campaign. The image compares a 'respectable' female graduate with a criminal, describing both as 'Companions in Disgrace'. The verse at the bottom of the card explains how, once the criminal has served his time, he may regain the right to vote. A 'harmless' woman however, may never have the right.
