Women's Suffrage, Miss Christabel Pankhurst
Postcard reproduction of a portrait of Christabel Pankhurst entitled ‘Women's Suffrage’. Below is printed ‘By courtesy of ‘Vanity Fair" and 'Miss Christabel Pankhust'. The portrait, by Leslie Ward, known as ‘Spy’, appeared in ‘Vanity Fair’ on 15 June 1910.
On the back is the printer's address in Ladbroke Grove. Postcards like these with portraits of suffragettes were produced as part of the women's pro-suffrage campaign and sold in Women's Social and Political Union shops to raise money for their cause.
