Women and Income Tax
Pamphlet titled 'Women and Income Tax', by Mrs Ayres Purdie, published by the Women's Freedom League, c.1920, pp9. Purdie outlines women's legal position regarding income tax and argues against the retention of couverture legisaltion.
The front cover is decorated with a diagonal green stripe; the back cover bears the slogan ' Join the Women's Freedom League and work with us to get women into parliament!'.
Part of the collection of objects relating to the Suffragette Movement, given by the Suffragette Fellowship, 1950.
