Miscellaneous craft: A Thames sailing barge in Lower Hope Reach with a cargo of gunpowder, on Good Friday, 1929.
A small red flag was flown over the aft sail to warn other vessels that the barge was carrying gunpowder. This barge was approaching one of the powder hulks moored permanently in the Lower Hope.
