Miscellaneous: A heavily laden timber barge is towed past the Stepney Power Station, Wapping, around 1936.
The 115 metre tall chimney in the background was built between 1936-1937 to try and reduce the heavy pollution from the lower chimneys. The power station was demolished in the 1970s.
