Photography — 1930
London Views: The view from Linney's office window at 110 The Strand, in August 1930.
The demolition of a building in Savoy Street had opened a temporary view of the river in 1930, enabling Linney to see the South Bank with, from left to right, the OXO Tower, the Eldorado Ice Cream factory, the News Chronicle Building and the Dewars Whisky tower. In the left foreground is Somerset House over which Tower Bridge can be seen dimly in the distance.
