Docks (non -PLA): Low water at Deadman's Dock, Deptford, around 1930.
Deadman's Dock was named after Dudman & Co. the shipbuilding company based here until 1812. By the 1930s the dock had been equipped with no less than 28 cranes and substantial railway lines to handle coal, iron-ore, grain and other bulk cargoes.
