Ships: The paddle steamer 'Alexandra' moored near Waterloo Bridge in June, 1932
The 'Alexandra' was operated by a London syndicate who, in a desperate attempt to revive their business, converted the vessel into the 'showboat' a floating restaurant and dance hall. The idea was not a success. Note the Lambeth shot tower behind the Walkers Lead and Shot Works on the right.
