'The Prospect of Whitby' at Wapping
One of London's most atmospheric and famous riverside pubs, 'The Prospect of Whitby' is now sadly overshadowed by the modern Pelican Wharf development on the west side. The barges and lighters have long since gone too. Photographed for E. Arnot Robertson's book 'Thames Portrait' (1937).
