Bargemen working on the running rigging
These bargemen are working on one of a number of barges moored side by side in the river. Although the location is unclear, it may be the 'Starvation Buoys' at Woolwich, and the trees in the background may be the Royal Victoria Park at North Woolwich. Photographed for E. Arnot Robertson's book 'Thames Portrait' (1937).
