Making improvements to Buckingham Palace 1913
The facade of Buckingham Palace covered in scaffolding during alterations in 1913. Edward Blore added this east front facade of Buckingham Palace to Nash's original building in the 1840s. Aston Webb replaced it with a design in Portland Stone in 1913.
Christina Broom was a professional photographer who produced a series of London street views for sale as postcards. She later photographed the activities of the suffrage movement in London and is considered one of the earliest female press photographers.
