89 A. Nelson Wharf W. Sharratt
Stacked timber at Nelson Wharf on Surrey Canal. The canal was heavily used to transport timber to South London warehouses.
The photograph is one of over a hundred images covering the wharves and waterside buildings along Surrey Canal. The photographs were found stuck into a large Port of London Authority notebook and are annotated throughout in handwritten ink. We think it likely that the photographs were taken by a PLA employee.
