Alexander Kotov at a Chess championship
Alexander Kotov, Chess Grandmaster from Russia at a competition in 1977. Kotov became a Soviet Grandmaster in 1939 and in 1941 won the Moscow Championship. In 1951 the World Chess Federation awarded him the title 'International Grandmaster'. In 1971 Kotov published the manual 'Think Like A Grandmaster' which is still one of the best selling books on how to improve ones game.
