Students in the garden at University College London
Students in the garden at University College London in October 1972. Senate House, designed by Charles Holden in 1936 can be seen in the background. The Tower which was designed to house the University library, has 19 floors, is 210 feet high and is built from Portland Stone. Work started on the building in 1932 and it was completed in 1937 although on a much smaller scale than the original plans, which had included a series of wings and a second tower.
