Bauhaus exhibition
The Bauhaus exhibition opened at the Royal Academy in September 1968. The exhibition toured Europe in '68 which was the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus movement. The exhibition looked at the ideas, methods and products of the Bauhaus movement and featured architectural drawings and models alongside sculptures, photographs and prints. It was arranged by Wurttembergischer Kunstverein and designed by Herbert Bayer. Bauhaus was a school of art founded in 1918 which combined crafts and fine art and which represented a modernist style representative of construction in post war Germany.
