Audience at filming of 'Ready Steady Go' television programme
Audience and dancers on 1960s television show ‘Ready, Steady, Go’. The show, which was broadcast on Friday night, was the first of a new spontaneous and unrehearsed type which created a party atmosphere and was immediately popular with teenage viewers. The recording studios were small and so cameras were impossible to hide. Audience members were chosen because of their fashionable clothing and ability to dance.
