Trainee nurse, Joyce Green Hospital
Trainee nurse bottle feeding a baby, Joyce Green hospital, Dartford. The hospital was built by the Metropolitan Asylum Board in 1901 and took patients suffering from infectious diseases such as measles and whooping cough. By the 1960s it was part of the NHS and covered Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Haematology and postgraduate training. The hospital was in operation until 2000 when the buildings were demolished.
