Pupil at the Ackmar Road School for Deaf Children
Pupil speaking into a microphone at the Ackmar School for Deaf Children in Fulham, later known as the London School for the Deaf. This boy is wearing a hearing aid in both ears. It is connected to a transistor and battery which is worn in a sash over the shoulder. The School opened in 1898 and closed in 1983, after which the building was demolished.
