Women's protest march against the H bomb
The women’s ‘silent’ march against hydrogen bomb testing was organised by the National Council for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapon Tests and took place on 12th May 1957. There were 9 detonations between 1956—1958 in the Pacific Ocean and although bombs were detonated in the air there was much controversy about their detrimental effects to people’s health and to the planet.
