May Day 1957
Protestors marching against Hydrogen bomb tests. Since the 19th century May Day has been synonymous with International Labour Day; a day of political demonstrations and action. In 1953 real and deep anxiety was felt by people of all political parties about the negative effects of the H bomb tests on the health of not only the nation but of the world population.
