Engineers Strike, 1957
Two men in discussion outside the gates of the railway junction depo in Willesden. A series of strikes of railway engineers took place in March 1957 after the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Unions rejected a 3% pay increase. Strikes began on 16th March and continued until an agreement on 5th April was made for a 5% rise.
