Scout's Soapbox Derby, Crystal Palace
Inspecting a car at the Scouts annual Soapbox Derby at Crystal Palace. Soapbox cars are unpowered and rely on gravity to move them. Every year boy Scouts from across the country would gather at Crystal palace to race their cars. In 1961 the races were renamed to the National Scoutcar Races.
