Model aeroplane club at the Fairlop Aerodrome, Epping Forrest
Preparing to fly a model aeroplane at a club at the Fairlop Aerodrome, Epping Forest. The RAF first opened an aerodrome here in 1915 but it was not well used until the Second World War when over 1,000 personnel were stationed here. The aerodrome closed in 1946 and from then on was used by the Ilford Model Aircraft Club.
