Polar Bears at London Zoo
Polar bears Micha and Ivy at London Zoo in 1951. In 1949 Brumas was the first polar bear to be successfully reared in Britain, Micha and Ivy were her parents. Brumas was one of the most popular animals to ever live at the zoo and and attendance figures record that 3 million people visited the zoo in 1950, a figure never exceeded.
