Dockworkers, Royal Albert docks
Two dock workers at the Royal Albert Dock in East London. The dock was built as an extension to the Royal Victoria Dock. It was considered to be the finest dock system in the world and because of the specialist lifting equipment, tobacco became the staple commodity unloaded here. The Dock closed in the 1980s and is now home to the London City Airport.
