Taxidermist Edward Gerrard at work
An employee in the workshop of taxidermist Edward Gerrard at 61 College Place. Gerrards was a family business which had originally opened in other premises in 1853 but by the early 1900s had moved to College Place. Edward Gerrard was employed by the Natural History Dept at the British Museum in the 1840s as the resident Taxidermist and mounted some specimens for Charles Darwin.
