Packaging, wrapper
Grease proof paper wrapper used by Lyons as packaging for flowers sold in their Corner House restaurant at Marble Arch. Printed in blue, with a central image of a winged messenger carrying a bunch of flowers and flying over a globe beside a candlestick phone. The caption reads 'Say it with flowers by wire to any part of the world in a few hours time'. Above is printed 'Maison Lyons corner house Marble Arch, W1 order by phone: Ambassador 3434 fruit and floral department'. The graphic was designed and printed by the East London firm of J. Evershed & Co. (Bow) Ltd.
