Printed Ephemera — 1906
Redington Road, Hampstead, N.W
This postcard shows a view of Redington Road in Hampstead. Hampstead Garden Suburb was founded by Henrietta Barnett to provide beautiful homes in attractive surroundings for all social classes. This vision was, however, soon undermined by the middle classes who found Hampstead just too attractive to open up to working class residents.
