Printed Ephemera — 1942
Form, message form
This form was issued by the Red Cross in Norway for use by those trying to trace friends and loved ones. Printed in red and black it has a typewritten message from Margit Eeg who was trying to trace her friend Agnes Simmonds who lived in London. The message reads 'Written June 1940 private address: 86 Kensington Park Road, without result. Should be pleased to get some information about my friend. All well here. Confident'. It is dated 8th May 1942. Up to one half of London’s population lived away from their homes for some period of World War II. The Red Cross helped trace friends and family who had lost touch.
