Three boys at the Camden Play Centre in the early 1960s
During the 1960s the concept of play initiatives for children such as adventure playgrounds and play centres, were developed and grew nationally. It was felt that children needed safe supervised spaces in which to play, draw, sing, read and create. Often then as now it was voluntary organisations who often provided this service. This photographs depicts three boys at the Camden Play centre in the early 1960s.
