Children in the school toilets at the 'FDR School for Handicapped Children'
The Franklin D Rooselvelt (FDR) School in Hampstead, north London, opened in 1950 for physically disabled and seriously unwell children. It was designed as one storey, without steps and had bathroom sinks at different heights for those with different needs.
